WHALE WATCHING:

Celebrating over 30 years as the west coast's original whale tour company!

Tours depart throughout the day, March 1st - October 31st, from our Tofino location and March 15th - September 30th from Ucluelet. We offer the largest fleet of vessels in the area to guarantee the best sighting opportunities possible, in Clayoquot and Barkley Sound. Our waters boast grey whales, humpback whales, transient orcas, sea otters, sea lions, harbor seals, and a myriad of amazing marine life for all to view in their natural habitat.

Two 65' Transport Canada Safety-Certified cruisers - suitable for all ages - offer comfortable, heated indoor seating, upper and lower decks, restroom, snack bar, liquor license, and plenty of room for up to 49 passengers to walk around to view whales from different vantage points. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate too! We have high-speed zodiac-style vessels for those wanting more excitement in their adventure!

Over 40 experienced, west coast residents make up Jamie's crew each season. Vessel operators are certified with SVOP, Marine Emergency Duties, Marine First Aid and GMDSS Radio. In addition, our large vessel skippers have min. 60 ton Masters tickets. Our crew provide engaging and knowledgeable commentary on every excursion.

HOT SPRINGS COVE:

Hot Springs Cove lies 26 nautical miles up the coast from Tofino at The Maquinna Provincial Marine Park. The springs are perched right at the water's edge overlooking the open ocean. Our hot springs vessel "Pacific Springs", is a high-speed, 35 ft. cabin cruiser with twin diesel engines, heated indoor seating and washroom. daily departure at 11:30 am. 8:00 and 2:30 departures on demand, and during busy periods (May 15 - Sept 30)

Tour Details:

1 hour and 20 minute boat ride each way through the heart of Clayoquot Sound. Possibility of sighting whales on the journey (weather and whales permitting).

35 minute walk/hike each way on a 1.2 km boardwalk trail that runs along the edge of the ocean, winding through the rainforest. Though not overly strenuous, this spectacular trail has quite a few stairs and may not be suitable for everyone. We recommend that very young children be carried in a backpack carrier.
1.5 - 2 hours at the hot springs. Enjoy the 107 degree Fahrenheit (41C) waterfall or soak in one of the pools tucked in the crevices of the rocks, which can be progressively cooler the closer you walk down to the ocean level. Relax and enjoy your picnic lunch before exploring back through the rainforest to return to the boat. Water shoes are handy for climbing around on the rocks both in and out of the water.

Notes:

-Each tour requires only a 2 passenger minimum to be confirmed (no waiting around to see if others will sign up!) Please call ahead to make reservations!

-Lots of free parking for all of our customers, including 12 large RV spaces

-Complimentary kennels for your dogs while you are out on your tour!
